While it is no secret that PS3 and PS4 controllers work. After months of promises, Microsoft finally released Windows drivers for its Xbox One controller, allowing it to pull double duty as wired controller for PC gaming. Open the file you just downloaded. Click Run in the box that pops up. A setup wizard should appear. Read and accept the license agreement, wait for the installation to finish, then click Finish. Now, plug in your Xbox One controller. At this point, you should be ready to play.
Those will add in the right drivers in the device manager driver selector. Microsoft regularly releases new firmware updates for its Xbox One controllers, and these updates fix various bugs. First, open the Store app included with Windows Click or tap it and the app will install the updated firmware.
Unfortunately, the Xbox Accessories app is only available for Windows On a Windows 10 PC, you can simply connect the Xbox One controller to the computer normally and update it with the Xbox Accessories app as described above.
The update may begin automatically. Hopefully, Microsoft will one day make this process easier.
