I noticed the same behavior whenever I change anything and OneDrive syncs, it keeps creating more instances of the same folder. If I close File Explorer and reopen it, the duplicates go away, but I'm looking for a solution to prevent it from happening at all. I also set up my brother-in-laws machine, which uses OneDrive for Business and this has the same problem, so both One Drive domestic and One Drive for Business are affected.

Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. As for the ones that were already there I beieve the file system under This PC got corrupted as they now have invalid lotions. I was able to correct the locations under Properties for all but one. Onedrive does not live off of Pictures. Sure looks like a system bug to me.
There is a forum that shows you how to Hid This PC or folders under it using regedit so there must be a way to correct the path of a folder using the registry. I just have to find someone that knows how.
I do agree that a registry edit might give an option to make this possible. But m odifying registry settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Modifications of these settings are at your own risk. I mean, under ThisPC, they appear in the same hierarchy, instead of directly. Each is managed differently and some have ludicrous restrictions e. My computer, my rules: I want to be able to remove One Drive if I want it. Great job programmers!
