The interesting thing is if you see in my screenshot the server ping status is green so seems like it is getting through to the PMDG server You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Pinging a server is very different than downloading a file. No firewall or av program will really have an issue with a ping. They both take strong issues with programs that download files because those files could be harmful, according to the AV programs that hyperventilate about the most innocuous things.
