Really the biggest negative that can be thrown at The Fractured But Whole is the fact that it is a sequel. It still retains some inherent issues with the Ubisoft South Park format, but it does its best to iron out any of the kinks it can that were present in the first game. This is seen in the improvements to boss battles, which introduce fun mechanics like out-of-turn attacks, environmental hazards and even time restrictions.
Acting as the sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth, this zany adult adventure is packed with shocking jokes, wonderful visuals, and all your favorite characters from the show. Although the game borrows a lot of elements from the first South Park RPG, there's still enough new content to keep players invested.
If you're a fan of South Park, especially the superhero plot-line that pops up from time to time in the show, you'll love South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Bored with their previous fantasy adventure, the neighborhood boys of South Park start up their own superhero business. Although the kids start off solving simple suburban crimes like a missing cat, they hope to eventually become popular enough to star in their own Netflix-style television show.
With this lofty goal causing a few arguments along the way, the group split into two teams, starting a classic rivalry that carries the rest of the story. As in the previous game, you're free to explore South Park and pick up a variety of side-quests and activities, but your main goal is to become the most powerful superhero you can become!
Like the first game, Fractured But Whole features turn-based combat. As you progress through the game, you'll amass a party of friendly neighborhood kids, each with their own superhero identity. Each character offers a different role in combat, be it a defensive tank, high-damage attacker, support healer, or anywhere between.
In addition to the expected turn-based combat, Fractured But Whole adds a grid-style system, reminiscent of tactics games like Fire Emblem or Into the Breach. Players can move a certain number of squares around the board and utilize a variety of special attacks to damage, defuse, and destroy their competition. Each superhero also has an awesome, animated ultimate attack, giving your team enormous help when needed. When you're not engaged in hilarious superhero battles, you'll spend a lot of time exploring South Park and meeting new friends.
One of your main objectives in the game is to build up a hefty following on Coonstagram, the in-game social media app. The controller doesn't do this on any other game and all the buttons work fine. Last edited by Caliban ; 20 Oct, am. Showing 1 - 15 of 22 comments.

Yeah I can play the game fine, enter inspection mode and everything. It just always shows Xbone prompts and is annoying. Doesn't make sense since it came out for PS4 as well. The Dualshock 4 is not officially supported on PC, which is why you will not see the button prompts in-game. You can see a list of the Supported Controllers here. Just use the Xbox controller that's how u should play pc games dude Playstation controllers aren't supported on pc. If you only have access to a PS4 controller, then there are certain software that will make make your controller appear as an Xbox controller.
